Our Process — How Every DearVarsity Jacket Is Built

At DearVarsity, every jacket in our collection starts with one decision — no shortcuts. We do not offer custom builds or made-to-order designs. What we offer is something more considered: a curated collection of original DearVarsity designs, each one developed in-house, built on premium materials, and quality checked before it ever reaches your door.

Here is how every jacket goes from concept to your wardrobe.

1. Original Design

Every jacket in the DearVarsity collection is an original. Our design team develops each colorway, material combination, embroidery placement, and hardware choice internally — nothing is outsourced, nothing is templated. What you see in our collection is exactly what we built it to be. No modifications, no custom requests — just considered design executed properly.

2. Material Selection

Before a single stitch is placed, the materials are chosen against a strict internal standard. 24oz melton wool bodies, full-grain leather sleeves, 1×1 acrylic rib knit, quilted satin linings, and premium snap hardware — every component is sourced for longevity, not just appearance. If a material does not meet the standard, it does not make it into a DearVarsity jacket.

3. Skilled Construction

Each jacket is cut and assembled by skilled craftspeople who work to the same specification on every unit. Panel alignment, seam reinforcement, leather sleeve attachment, rib knit application, and embroidery execution are all held to the same standard — whether the jacket is the first one produced or the five hundredth. Consistency is not an afterthought at DearVarsity. It is the entire point.

4. Embroidery and Detail Work

Every embroidery element — from chenille lettering and satin stitch graphics to chain stitch scripts and patch applications — is executed with properly digitized designs and verified thread tension throughout. Clean edges, consistent pile depth on chenille, and correct stitch direction on satin stitch are checked on every unit before it moves to inspection.

5. Quality Inspection

Before any jacket is packaged, it goes through a full quality inspection. Stitching accuracy, hardware strength, lining finish, embroidery definition, leather seam integrity, and overall build quality are all checked against the original design specification. If a jacket does not pass inspection, it does not ship. No exceptions.

6. Packaging and Delivery

Every jacket that passes inspection is carefully packaged to protect it through transit. Free delivery across the USA and worldwide — tracked from dispatch to your door in 5 to 8 business days. You will receive tracking information the moment your order ships.

7. After Your Order
