At DearVarsity, every order comes with a straightforward return policy. No confusing conditions, no hidden deductions, no restocking fees. If something is not right, we make it easy to fix.

The Basics

You have 14 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return or exchange. Every jacket in our collection is quality checked before it ships — but if something does not work for you, we are here to sort it out.

To be eligible for a return, your jacket must meet the following conditions:

  • Unworn and in original condition — indoor try-on is fine
  • All original tags attached and intact
  • Returned within 14 days of delivery
  • In its original packaging where possible

Jackets that show signs of wear, have tags removed, or are returned outside the 14-day window are not eligible for a return.

  • Jackets returned after 14 days of delivery
  • Jackets that have been worn, washed, or altered
  • Jackets with tags removed

If your jacket arrived with a manufacturing defect or quality issue that falls below the DearVarsity standard, this is handled separately — see the Manufacturing Defects section below.

If the size is not right, we will exchange it. Size exchanges are straightforward — initiate your return within 14 days of delivery, ship the jacket back in its original condition, and once we receive and inspect it we will dispatch the correct size to you promptly.

If the size you need is out of stock at the time of your exchange, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method instead.

Once your return is received and inspected, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days. You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been issued. Processing times after that point depend on your bank or payment provider and are outside our control.

Refunds cover the full jacket price. Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to a manufacturing defect.

If your jacket arrives with a defect — a construction issue, quality problem, or anything that does not meet the DearVarsity standard — contact us within 14 days of delivery at sale@dearvarsity.com with your order number and clear photos of the issue. Manufacturing defects are covered in full. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you, including return shipping.

  2. Our team will respond within 1 to 2 business days with return instructions
  3. Ship the jacket back using a tracked service — we recommend keeping your tracking number until the return is confirmed
  4. Once received and inspected, your exchange or refund will be processed promptly

DearVarsity does not offer custom or made-to-order jackets. Every jacket in our collection is a finished original design, which means our return policy applies cleanly across all orders — no design approval disputes, no production variables, no exceptions to navigate. What you order is what we built. If it does not work, we fix it.
