The Reflective All Black Hooded Wool and Leather Letterman Varsity Jacket from DearVarsity is two jackets in one — a clean all-black piece in daylight, and something else entirely in the dark. Built on an oversized boxy hip-length silhouette in all-black wool with black leather sleeves, this jacket carries a large oversized structured fixed hood in black wool with “DEAR V” in reflective material on the hood back — not embroidery, actual 3M reflective fabric that glows under flash and headlights. Black ribbed cuffs, collar, and hem close the silhouette, and a heavy-duty black YKK military zip with gunmetal hardware throughout keeps every detail in the same tonal family.

The front left chest carries “DV” in reflective silver fabric appliqué — 8cm, invisible in daylight, lit in flash photography. “RECON” sits in small white embroidery on the right chest. A thin reflective stripe runs the outer arm on both sleeves — same material as the chest letters, barely visible in sun, striking in night photos. The back is the centrepiece: a large skull in tonal black chenille on black wool — visible only by texture in daylight — but the skull outline is also stitched in reflective thread so it emerges fully in flash and night photography. Each jacket is prepared after your order is confirmed rather than pulled off a shelf, which is what keeps the fabrics, patches and finishing to the standard we sell. There is a short production window before your parcel is dispatched.

Tracking Your Order

You will receive dispatch confirmation and tracking details by email as soon as your parcel leaves us, and you can follow it any time from our Track Order page. Delivery time depends on your destination; your tracking link carries the courier's current estimate for your address.

Returns & Exchanges

If something is not right, contact our support team within 14 days of delivery to start a return or a size exchange.

Items should be unworn and unused, in original condition, with packaging and tags where applicable.
Email us first with your order number, full name and billing email, and please wait for return instructions before sending anything back.
Use a trackable service and keep the receipt until the return is complete.
Return postage is the customer's responsibility, except where the item arrived damaged, defective or incorrect — in which case we cover it.

How to Measure

To get accurate measurements, use a soft measuring tape and follow these steps:

Chest – Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
Waist – Measure around your natural waistline, just above your hips.
Hips – Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
Sleeve Length – Measure from the shoulder seam to the wrist.
Shoulder Width – Measure across the back from one shoulder seam to the other.
Jacket Length – Measure from the base of your neck to the desired jacket hem.

Tip: Measure over light clothing for best accuracy.
